04Mantic arts education · Yijing education

Begin by reading one term.
Proceed toward independent research and practice.

The institute teaches both Chinese mantic arts and the Yijing. Courses examine texts, calendars, procedures, school differences, case records and interpretive limits; memorized judgments are only a starting point.

01Learning path

A five-level learning path

Every level states prerequisites. Where classical Chinese, calendar or mathematical tools are needed, the course provides preparation instead of hiding variation behind generic FAQs.

  1. I12-24 hours

    Public introduction

History, Yijing foundations, evidence layers and ethics for the general public.

  2. II96 hours

    Common foundation

Zhouyi, phases, stems-branches, calendars, textual search, classical language and method.

  3. III180 hours each

    Specialization

Independent paths in Six Lines, Bazi, Qimen, Ziwei, Liuren, Plum Blossom, Huangji and more.

  4. IV240 hours

    Comparison and research

Compare two arts or versions and complete an annotated paper with method appendix.

  5. V9-12 months

    Independent project and teaching

Translation, catalog, database, reconstruction, research report or supervised curriculum.

02Common curriculum

Common foundation curriculum

Whatever the specialization, first build portable competence in language, time and evidence.

01

History of Chinese mantic arts

From bones and manuscripts through institutions, print and digital circulation without substituting legend for date.

02

Reading the Zhou Changes

Separate core text and Wings; learn figures, divination and major interpretive routes.

03

Yin-yang, phases and correlation

Understand internal structure and the boundary from modern natural science.

04

Stems, branches, calendars and seasons

Calendar conversion, month commands, seasonal nodes, hours and chart-time problems.

05

Classical Chinese for mantic texts

Terminology, particles, variant characters, punctuation, editions and commentary.

06

Rare books and digital resources

Catalogs, editions, facsimiles, databases, citation and authenticity checks.

07

Research method

Name, establish edition, date, reconstruct, compare and evaluate; formulas become repeatable steps.

08

Practice ethics

Privacy, consent, non-deterministic expression, conflicts and referral in high-risk matters.

03Specialist tracks

Eight specialist tracks

Every track has five blocks: texts and history, chart structure, school comparison, case replication and ethics. Course notices follow one standard for faculty, dates, hours, fees and policy.

01

Six-Line Najia

Casting, Eight Palaces, branches, relations, host-response, strength, focal signs, change and timing.

02

Four Pillars / Bazi

Calendar conversion, ten relations, month, pattern, strength, adjustment, cycles and schools.

03

Qimen Dunjia

Nine palaces, Wonders and Instruments, gates-stars-spirits, rotations, calendars and decision models.

04

Great Liuren

Boards, Four Lessons, Three Transmissions, generals, selection rules, patterns and historical cases.

05

Ziwei Doushu

Twelve palaces, star placement, transformations, periods, Ming evidence and modern schools.

06

Plum Blossom Numerology

Generating images and numbers, body-function, nuclear-change figures, external signs and attribution.

07

Huangji Jingshi

Pre-celestial sequences, nested cycles, sound-number relations, original structure and later divine calculations.

08

Fengshui and selection

Forms, compasses, schools, daybooks, Twelve Officers and environmental-social history.

How a course is completed

A contemporary reading room prepared for a small seminar
  1. 01

    Foundation

Complete edition and terminology units; state calendar, algorithm and scope.

  2. 02

    Seminar

Read source, watch demonstration, reproduce procedure, compare schools and diagnose errors.

  3. 03

    Cases

Anonymize input, steps, judgment time and outcome criteria; prevent retrospective rewriting.

  4. 04

    Assessment

Knowledge test, textual reading, rule manual, replication, paper or oral examination.

  5. 05

    Completion

Students meeting published standards may receive an institute internal credential.

PROGRAM STANDARD

Course publication standard

The curriculum uses common standards for faculty review, course records and enrollment information. Every course notice states dates, faculty biographies, hours, price, refund policy, assessment and credential status; information outside an official course page is not an enrollment commitment.
