河洛理数

Héluò Lǐshù·Hetu-Luoshu Principle and Number

A Ming-Qing system converting birth stems and branches into heaven-earth numbers and pre/post-celestial natal hexagrams, then using an original line and temporal changes to interpret life stages.

A conceptual study of birth-time columns, Hetu-Luoshu number tables and life-sequence calculations; it is not identical to general diagrammatic Hetu-Luoshu or Four-Pillar calculation and uses no real personal data.

01Core principles

Core principles

Translate formulas into structure: what enters, how the model is arranged, and which relations drive interpretation.

Stems, branches, Hetu-Luoshu numbers and yin-yang generate a pre-celestial natal hexagram and original line; post-celestial, major-cycle and annual hexagrams are then arranged and read through line texts and numerical relations.

Key concepts

  • heaven-earth numbers
  • pre/post-celestial natal hexagrams
  • original line
  • annual hexagram

02Origins and historical development

Origins and historical development

Keep traditional accounts, surviving evidence and later transformations distinct.

A dated 1632 preface is among the earliest reliable witnesses; Ji Dakui and others revised the work in the Qing. Although linked to Chen Tuan and Shao Yong by attribution, evidence better supports late-Ming compilation.

03Evidence limits and research debates

Evidence limits and research debates

Mystery belongs to the unknown—not to presenting uncertainty as fact.

Lineage claims must be distinguished from datable composition, and editions may differ in numbers, original-line rules and annual tables.

This dossier supports historical, textual and methodological study. Internal traditional explanations are not modern empirical validation and do not replace medical, legal, financial or other professional advice.
